Our Values
Responsibility

For two decades, Adenia has been making values-based investments in Africa, and we take that responsibility seriously.

We are responsible to our investors, aiming to achieve superior financial performance through measurable and sustainable business transformation.

Entrepreneurial spirit

We are entrepreneurs backing entrepreneurs. We believe determination, tenacity and creativity are key to successful, sustainable businesses. That’s why we typically invest in founder-led businesses and why many members of our team are entrepreneurs themselves. This entrepreneurial mindset gives us a unique edge when it comes to identifying investment opportunities.

On the ground

Only by being on the ground can we meet the most visionary entrepreneurs, access the very best investment opportunities, and execute on our value creation and ESG transformation plans. That’s why we live and work where we invest, with seven offices across the continent.

Mutual respect & ambition

Good partnerships are built on shared vision and mutual respect. These are cornerstones of our work and all our interactions – whether that’s with our investors, our investees, or our own employees.

We promote transparency in all aspects of our business, particularly when it comes to our investors.

About us
Our Team

We believe that diversity and equality lead to better decisions, improved performance and ultimately stronger businesses. Our inclusive approach allows us to better represent the communities we serve and to access a more diverse pool of ideas and creative energies. We put these principles into practice inside our own firm, and they are why, as a control investor, we have always worked closely with management teams to build inclusive workplaces.
